As cables from the same series, they share an identical design language in terms of performance and appearance, differing only in colour options and specifications. Users can choose according to their actual needs, showing that HUAWEI has fully taken different user groups into consideration.
Even so, some users still wonder whether there are differences in the actual build quality between the two cables. Below, ChargerLAB carries out a detailed teardown of this 6A braided cable. Let’s take a look.
Unboxing of Huawei 6A Braided Data Cable

The data cable shares the same design language as the 7A version, differing only in color scheme in appearance. Made of carefully selected custom yarns and crafted with a high-strength weaving process, the product delivers enhanced wear resistance and durability.The housings of the terminals at both ends of the data cable are printed with "6A", indicating that the maximum carrying current of the cable is 6A. It is compatible with Huawei's 66W Super Fast Charge and other protocols, and features a strain-relief-free design at the end.The USB-C male connector adopts a non-full PIN design inside.

The cable body is made of fire-resistant material with a VW-1 fire rating. The braided outer jacket delivers a premium texture and an improved hand feel.In addition, a product specification label is attached to the cable, with the model Cable CC-618.

This model also comes with a high-density silicone storage strap for easy storage and portability by users.The measured length of the data cable is approximately 181 cm.The cable body diameter is 3.6mm.The total weight of the cable with the high-density silicone storage strap is approximately 56g.

Tested with ChargerLAB POWER-Z KM003C, this Huawei data cable features an E-Marker chip, meaning the cable can carry a high current of 6A and supports 20V5A PD fast charging. Besides, the cable offers USB 2.0 data transfer capability.When charging the Huawei Pura 70 Pro+ with a Huawei 140W charger and this data cable, the measured charging power is approximately 88.11W.When charging the Huawei MateBook X Pro, the measured input power of the laptop is 19.27V 5.81A 111.87W. The input current reaches 5.81A, which complies with the 6A current transmission specification.
